The introduction of Approved Amusement Devices,
followed by Poker Machines, within the Hotel Industry in NSW has been
instrumental to the revival of hotels / pubs as a dominant force within the
business sector of NSW over the last decade.
As a result of the amended legislation, introduced
to the liquor act, with respect to gaming, in April 2002, allowing tradability
of Poker Machine Entitlements and Permits – there has been / and is continuing
to be a redistribution of the finite regulated Poker Machine resource which is
in place within the Hotel Industry of NSW.
However, there is a high degree of market volatility
currently, due to factors such as the following:
-
Uncertainty with respect to future market Prices –
either up or down.
-
Ownership of Entitlements and ongoing high profile
legal matters.
-
Possibility of changes to legislation.
-
SIA thresholds.
As a result most people impacted by the above fall
into one of the following 3 categories:
-
In no hurry – sit and wait and watch the market (short term and /
or long term).
-
Some hoteliers with too many Poker Machines are liquefying the
considerable equity they have wrapped up in the Entitlements or Permits
attached to these assets.
-
Whilst others are committing capital to the purchase of more Entitlements and /
or Permits.
At John Parsons Hotels we have been meeting the
needs of our Poker Machine clients since tradability started.

Options or just have a General chat about Poker Machines and / or related
